6 Şubat 2023 Kahramanmaraş Depremlerinden Etkilenen Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Fiziksel Aktivite Düzeyi ile Vücut Kompozisyonu, Mutluluk ve Depresyon Seviyeleri Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı depremden etkilenen üniversite öğrencilerinin fiziksel aktivite düzeyi ile vücut kompozisyonu, mutluluk ve depresyon seviyeleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmaya 6 Şubat 2023 Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremleri yaşayan ve Sivas Gençlik ve Spor İl Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı yurtlarda yaz okulu ve staj nedeniyle konaklayan gönüllü kadın üniversite öğrencileri (n=254) katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak Küresel Fiziksel Aktivite Anketi, Oxford Mutluluk Ölçeği Kısa Formu, Beck Depresyon Ölçeği ve Bioelektrik İmpedans Analizi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Bulgulara göre katılımcıların fiziksel aktivite düzeyinin yüksek olduğu, beden kitle indeksi (BKİ) ve viseral yağ oranının normal aralıkta olduğu ve depresyon düzeyinin hafif olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların fiziksel aktivite düzeyi ile BKİ, viseral yağ oranı ve depresyon düzeyi arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılık olmadığı (p>0.05) tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların fiziksel aktivite düzeyi ile mutluluk düzeyi arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılık olduğu (p<0.05) ve fiziksel aktivite düzeyi yüksek olan katılımcıların daha yüksek mutluluk düzeyine sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak deprem gibi travmatik olaylardan etkilenen öğrencilerde fiziksel aktivitenin doğrudan vücut kompozisyonu ve depresyon düzeyi üzerinde etkisinin sınırlı olabileceği gösterilmiştir. Fakat mutluluk düzeyi üzerinde fiziksel aktivitenin olumlu bir etkisi olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between physical activity level and body composition, happiness and depression levels of university students affected by the earthquake. Volunteer female university students (n=254) who experienced the February 6, 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes and stayed in the dormitories of Sivas Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports for summer school and internship participated in the study. Global Physical Activity Questionnaire, Oxford Happiness Scale Short Form, Beck Depression Scale and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis were used as data collection tools. SPSS program was used for data analysis. According to the findings, it was determined that the physical activity level of the participants was high, body mass index (BMI) and visceral fat ratio were in the normal range and depression level was mild. There was no statistically significant difference (p>0.05) between the participants' physical activity level and BMI, visceral fat ratio and depression level. It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between the participants' physical activity level and happiness level (p<0.05) and participants with higher physical activity level had higher happiness level. As a result, it has been shown that physical activity may have limited effect on body composition and depression level in students affected by traumatic events such as earthquake. However, it was determined that physical activity had a positive effect on happiness level.
