Abstract
This study, it is aimed to examine the problems experienced by national sports students who have dual careers. In the research, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The research group consists of 17 national athletes aged 18 and over who do sports in different branches. The research group consists of 17 national athletes aged 18 and over who do sports in different branches determined by the purposive sampling method. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained in the research were analyzed by the content analysis method. According to the findings, it was determined that national athlete students who try to carry out both national sports and academic education life together have problems in the sub-dimensions of social life, academic education life, camp processes, sports life, family life, coach, teacher, psychology and professional life. In addition, the most important problem in the sub-dimensions determined is academic education life. It is thought that this study is important in terms of forming a basis for the studies that can be done to solve the problems experienced by national athlete students who try to maintain balanced sports and academic education life.
