Abstract

The aim of the study is to compare lower extremity functional performance tests (FPT) and Asymmetry indexes (Aİ) of male and female young athletes from different branches. A total of 74 athletes, including 40 men (10 wrestling, 10 handball, 12 futsal, 8 athletics) and 34 women (14 handball, 12 futsal, 8 athletics) aged 15-17, participated in the study voluntarily. Four different FPT single leg hop test (SL),triple leg hop test (THD), crossover hop test (CHD),6m. timed hop for distance (6m THD) tests were performed on the dominant (D) and non-dominant (ND) sides of the subjects. In statistical analysis, paired sample t, One-Way ANOVA and LSD tests were used. When comparing the FPT values of the branches on the D sides, THD, CHD and 6m. THD tests (p <0.05), in SL, THD and 6m THD in women only in THD test, statistical significance was found in the SL test only in men (p < 0.05). As a conclusion, it was determined in men that FPTs in the D and ND sides between men had different results, and in women on the D and ND sides, FPTs showed similar results, except THD. It was determined that the asymmetry indiexes of male and female athletes were generally in a safe range in all FPT, only in men, there was a difference between the branches in the SL test, but in the resulting difference, it was not in the risk range for the disability tendency.

GENÇ SPORCULARIN ALT EKSTREMİTE FONKSİYONEL PERFORMANS TESTLERİ VE ASİMETRİ İNDEKSLERİNİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Year 2020, Volume: 14 Issue: 3, 354 - 363, 10.12.2020

Abstract

İstatistiksel analizde paired sample t, One-Way ANOVA ve LSD testlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Branşların D taraflarda ortaya koydukları FPT değerleri karşılaştırıldığında erkeklerde ÜAA, ÇA ve 6m. TAA testlerinde (p<0.05), ND tarafta erkeklerde TAA, ÜAA ve 6m TAA, kadınlarda ise sadece ÜAA testinde branşlar arasında istatistiksel anlamlılıklar tespit edilmiştir (p<0.05). Asimetri indekslerinde ise sadece erkeklerde TAA testinde istatistiksel anlamlılık tespit edilmştir (p<0.05). Sonuç olarak, erkeklerde branşlar arası D ve ND taraflarda FPT’lerin farklı sonuçlar ortaya çıkardığı, kadınlarda D ve ND taraflarda FPT’lerin ÜAA hariç benzer sonuçlar ortaya koyduğu tespit edilmiştir Erkek ve kadın sporcuların asimetri indekslerinin genel olarak tüm FPT’lerde güvenli aralıkta olduğu, sadece erkeklerde TAA testinde branşlar arası farklılık ortaya çıktığı, ancak ortaya çıkan farklılığında sakatlık eğilimi adına risk aralığında olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
